Wiltshire artist Philip Shaw aka the “Tall Chin” has spent a lifetime doodling and painting. He captures simple, characteristic and fun portraits of children, pets, houses and wildlife in watercolour and oils.
Philip’s work in the past has included book illustrations, and timeless watercolour commissions reminiscent of Winnie the Pooh illustrator EH Shepard. Philip’s illustration business is known as Tall Chin Illustrations.
Philip’s career has taken him all over the globe, but it was his family roots in Kenya that led him to embark on an adventurous journey running safaris, learning to track wild animals with the Maasai and marketing several businesses in both Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan. Returning to England in 2016 he co-founded the British manufacturing company Savernake Knives.
He lives in Wiltshire with his wife and fellow artist Georgie Weedon and their two daughters.
