THE STORY BEHIND THE TALL CHIN PUZZLES
Organised Chaos and Changing Tides are two illustrated jigsaw puzzles I created with my old friend and safari specialist Chania Tundu.
We share a love of family adventures in the wild and time away from screens, which helped shape the spirit of both puzzles.
The idea was simple. To create something that brings people together.
A jigsaw puzzle has a way of slowing things down. It encourages conversation, patience and a bit of teamwork. Whether after a day out in the bush or at home around the table, the process becomes part of the experience.
Both puzzles were illustrated from original Tall Chin artwork inspired by travel in East Africa. The landscapes contain a number of small details that reveal themselves gradually as the puzzle comes together.
Chania is an award winning family travel specialist with a long standing passion for Africa. Between us we wanted the puzzles to reflect the sort of trips we both value most. The kind where families spend time outdoors, notice the landscape around them and share the experience together.
Organised Chaos and Changing Tides are small reflections of that idea.
Two puzzles designed to be completed slowly, piece by piece.
Tall Chin Talks is a collection of studio notes from British artist Philip Shaw, sharing the stories behind wildlife paintings, illustrated puzzles and travels in East Africa.
