Portrait Commissions by Philip Shaw

Original paintings created from your photographs, designed to capture character, place and story

Each commission begins with your photographs and ideas, developing into a carefully composed painting that reflects the character of the subject and the setting around them.

Children’s portraits and family scenes are a particular focus, often created from favourite holiday photographs, beach scenes and those fleeting moments you want to keep. I also take on wildlife subjects and landscapes.

Commissions start from £450, depending on size and complexity.

Commissions come in all shapes and sizes, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. It all starts with an idea and we go from there!

  • “Philip (aka Tall Chin) is a hugely talented artist who manages to capture that perfect memory with his gentle brush strokes. We commissioned him for just that of our 4 children which he did beautifully. Everyone needs a Tall Chin original!”
